Creating a meaningful space for ceremony is a rare & special talent. The energy, love & vision for a ceremony sets a beautiful tone for something that resides deep inside us. I have had the lucky chance to know the talented Modern Celebrant, Michele Davidson. As the officiant for my own wedding, I saw the process of what goes into her ceremonies. Our ceremony was planned over months of talking, writing & sharing stories. Michele weaved together our lives to create something unique & quite extraordinary. Over a year after our own wedding, the dress, veil & shoes are all tucked away in boxes, but the words of her ceremony still remain. A few Saturday’s ago I ventured to the most gorgeous park in West Vancouver with a darling couple, Nicole & Trevor. Lighthouse Park has this mystical feel to it covered with dense rainforest, green moss & old beautiful trees. It contains the city’s last remaining first-growth Douglas Fir trees, as they were never logged so it would remain dark around the lighthouse. The lighthouse sits on Point Atkinson & overlooks the Burrard Inlet. Forest trails are scattered throughout the park & lead down to little romantic coves overlooking the ocean. Nicole is an Italian beauty who works at one of my favorite stores based in Vancouver, lululemon. She hired me over a year ago & since then we have met over coffee, created boards on Pinterest & dreamed about her gorgeous wedding. Thank you both for an amazing Saturday & Trevor for hauling books, champagne, blankets & scrabble games throughout the park. I am so excited for your May wedding!

Beautiful Robyn, mother of 6-month old Emmeline, was hit head on by a drunk-driver February 21 in Park City at four in the afternoon. I took these photographs of her & Stephen right before their baby was born. As a new mother myself, hearing this news was devastating. Robyn miraculously survived the crash & her new baby was not with her at the time. Her injuries are extensive & she will have a long road to recover & heal. For medical & child care expenses, a fundraiser is being held in her honor Tuesday, March 27 at Al Dente’ Trattoria E Bar in Park City, Utah from 7-11pm.
